When trying to burn a dvd in nero this pc restarts..

I am checking out a friends pc and when he tries to copy any dvd it restarts.
anything I should check for?

He can use dvdshrink and put the image on his hd but when he copies it will restart.

Somethings that might be the problem....
1.Its an older pc with a NEC 3520 (original firmware, not flashed)
2.The PC will not allow sp2 to be installed.
3.I did a reformat and installed winxp but cannot find the Mobo drivers anywhere.

Also does the same thing with Alcahol 120%

So any suggestions?
any place to look for the drivers for the mobo?
