When will OEM copy of Vista be available ?

    Does anyone an idea as to when OEMs like Dell & HP will be getting their copy of Vista ?

    I want to order a new system with Vista but I am holding back till I get Vista with their systems.

    Rumor has it that the public release of Vista is scheduled for Feb/March 2007. Some vendors are including 'vouchers' good for a free Vista upgrade with the purchase of a PC or retail box of WindowsXP Home/Pro/MCE.....
    Contact your vendor (Dell, Compaq, local PC store) and ask 'em about future Vista upgrades and if a voucher is available free or at a hefty discount.

    i know that you can get a beta version...
    a friend downloaded it onto his computer from.. microsoft? i dunno it may have been a leak.. it was huge though.. took him a day and a half and hes on a network at around 1-2mb a second... im pretty sure its a beta he uses it regularly though..

    Jan 30th 2007 is release date to retail and pre-installed on PCs

    Many OEMs now are selling their Vista compatible PCs with a voucher to entitle you to an upgrade at that date of release of Vista.

    Some of these vendors are giving free upgrades, while others are giving half off the upgrade cost.
