When you eat too much.

Personally I never could eat that much at buffets but my hubby could at a younger age. Waiters were always so busy clearing his plates cause he would help himself numerous times. Relatives and friends would drop their mouths in disbelief at how much he could/would shovel inside. :-D

Perhaps it's the eyes wanting to eat all that food and not paying attention what their stomach is telling them?

 

I went out for Easter dinner too with family,I had a few mouthfuls of sunday roast chicken,beef and veg then got out of there:-D

ATM my brother has a habit letting one of his friends come,I like him but the whole time is just him and my brothers talking about how drunk they got last night,how drunk they are gonna get tonight which girls they like and when they're not they're all texting on their phones or reading outloud what so and so said on facebook.

It's a rerun of Christmas,it's like hanging around with a bunch queensrolleyes Not a family atmosphere,I wasn't gonna go and now I know I'm probably not having dinner with them all again.

On a brighter note I got home and put on episode 09 and 10 of Justified season 3, That was the highlight of my day

I stayed home with family, but I ate a heck of a lot! I'll be doing it again tomorrow most likely.

 

I tried valiantly to cook a small dinner for two. Yeah...right...as if I have any idea how to do that! Start with the fact that the smallest ham available was 12 pounds, and go from there. However, I did manage to make a mostly diabetic-friendly dinner (if you ignore the smashed potatoes, but at least I used red potatoes which are lower carb than regular ones)! Ham (rubbed with olive oil, pepper and sage), smashed red potatoes with gravy, broccoli-red bell pepper salad, green bean casserole. Dessert was supposed to be plantains sliced, dredged in cinnamon and sugar and fried, then drizzled with honey, but we're both still in food comas so I'll be doing that tomorrow.

Buffets always make me eat more, because I didn't have to cook ANYTHING! Eating is so much more fun, and has so much more variety, when I didn't have to create it!

I had nothing special, unless you include me and the g/f going out to the Markets and having a meal. Guess that's something. I gave away a few nice Easter egg gifts and cards. Got nuthin' back - Guess no one loves me anymore.
But I don't care - one more Easter Hol. today, left.:clap

 

Feast or famine instincts. From that time before we were 'civilised', when you didn't know when more food would be available, so you'd gorge yourself to keep going until you found more. It's something that we still do when there's an abundance of food.

Plus that stuff is delicious...

 

The day after Easter is even worse. Cadbury Carmel Eggs and all the other Easter Creep candy is now 50% off.

If I'm not careful, I'll end up looking like Fat Bastard in the Austin Powers movies. :-D

I tend to make a point of going nowhere near a store the week after any given holiday, specifically to avoid the candy sales. LOL

 

Yeah, Gman - I eventually got given a sack full of those caramel eggs...and they're ALL GONE!..:-o

 

EGGS!!! Hahaha. In my opinion better than that the candy.
