where did my pictures go?

hi, could you help with this? my pictures have changed from visible pictures to the basic jpeg blue icon...that is all i see when i click on the my pictures folder. i can still see each individual picture if i click on it but can`t see them all laid out for me within the basic folder.

anybody know what i did and how to fix it back? (should add that my o.s is in japanese...maybe this is a simple task...i just don`t know)
