Where did Print Preview go?

I keep failing a simple task, printing a black and white diagram on a single sheet of paper. It fails in GIMP, Windows Photo Viewer and Paint.
I am running a hacked up version of Win7 to a networked HP printer. I have tried quite a few searches but my old friend Print Preview seems gone forever. What I see on the screen does not "shrink to fit". Windows print shows the diagram on one page and then prints four pages. Currently I just fire up OSX and get exactly what I see, but I would rather work on the Windows side if I can. Have we lost Print Preview? I remember that being the closest to WYSIWYG in Windows.

I can print perfectly in Waterfox, it seems to have the Print Preview functionality.

 

In most program if you hit the print icon, it will print to the default printer. If you go to file and print you get a dialog box with options, sometimes preview is there. Preview is in Paint if you go this way. Or use a print saver like priPrint or iPrint, they have previewers.

 

If it's printing a browser page you want then both Firefox and IE11 also have print preview. But I thought you were having problems printing graphics :confused

 

Yes, graphics. Specifically .gif and .png.
I would like to print from my viewers and editors (paint, GIMP, Win Photo Viewer) rather than my browser.
