where do i get schematics...HELP!

searching for the schematic for an emachine K8Mc51G LF. anybody got a clue or a link? i don't have the anything that came w/ the machine & i can't find gateway's LOL scheme info anywhere. please :confused

K8mc51glf is the mother board not the model of the machine. if you want the schematic of the machine post back with the model number so we can give it a shot. If you want the board, follow the link to the company and check their product support

 

sorry! wasn't clear-wanted to get a look at the motherboard K8Mc51G LF. trying to figure out why my pop-in-law's video output failed but a schematic of the machine and motherboard would be great.

i don't pretend to know much, just must show him how/where over-heated problems got him. (BTW-the problem has been diagnosed & will be fixed by an actual pc guy...i am just the one stuck w/ providing pictorial explanations) things "break" cuz the opposite of my advice is the expert way to go.
case in point: ignoring advice to only use canned air to occasionally dust only fans & such to keep it cool, he went to "cleaning" the inside of the pc before this one w/ the attachments on the house vacuum cleaner, he decided that a soldered motherboard piece needed a good static going over. he then pulled it off, "cleaned" it, couldn't get it back on, had it soldered in place again & wondered at why the machine died. (i think it committed suicide at the sight of the 1945 Kirby hoses coming at it.):-D
all totally my fault for instructing his 4 packs a day in a small, hot room for hours on end w/ the pc that is never powered off to dust it & keep fans/vents clear. (and they live on a dusty rural gravel road 2)

this time i want him to know what where & why or my mother-in-law is going to spend the rest of her retirement digging groceries from the giant jar of pennies.
hope you guys can point me at the emachines coloring book & component find pictures! thanks for the help!

I was unable to fix the EXACT same video problem you desribe...NO VIDEO AT ALL! Can not even get a P.O.S.T. (Power On Self Test) to appear when you turn on the machine!

I ended up buy a new replacement board under $25.00 here: http://www.pricewatch.com/motherboards/socket_754.htm

It took about a week for me to even get the UPS tracking number! But hey! It's on the way now!
