    Dear All,

I have an Asrock 775 Dual Vsta motherboard with 2mb DDR RAM and a 1TB WD HDD and W7.

    I am an average user.

Some time ago it became usual the BSOD, after I have found bad sectors, and as the problem became more frequent I have bought another HD. It was stable for half an year and the problem showed again, I have contacted WD support they sent an RMA and then a new HD.
When I tried to reinstall W7 the installation was unable to finish and there is the very same problem: bad sectors.

So, there is something causing this, the problem is not the HD. Shall I use some utility to source this problem?

I have tested memory and it reports no errors…

    Thanks for your advice

Welcome:) How did you test the memory? Memtest should be your first stop-

Test each stick individually then both together.

The test I'd run is a cpu/memory stress test, make sure all your internal fans are spinning and your heatsinks are clean, once the test starts you should hear your cpu fan spin up.

Monitor your temperatures with a program such as speedfan during the stress test.
