Okay - as a previous post I need a work around for some software that will not run or install correctly. THe directions require me to find the following files and folders:

    1. Autoexec.nt
    2. Config.nt
    3. And the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder

Is part of the problem that I am missing these files to begin with? The first part of the workaround did not work, so I have to try some manual editing. Where might I find these?

    Thnaks.

%systemroot% is a variable. Open up a command prompt and type "echo %systemroot%". You can even type "cd %systemroot%" or enter %systemroot% into the address bar of Windows Explorer/My Computer.

    Default:
    WinXP: C:\Windows\
    Win2k: C:\Winnt\
