Anywhere online? Where do you like to get your printer ink? Best buy has mine for $56.00 JUST for color and another 32.00 for black!?!? Anyone know where to get ink from?

I don't know where you live but, if you have a Costco, they have pretty good prices on theirs, but of course they may not have the one you need either. That is where I get mine most of the time anyway.

thats the reason I switched to laser, theres pretty good color laser printers for about 200-300$ and cartridges go for about 100$ but they allow you to print 2500-3500 pages.

I have a HP 990cxi deskjet and get my cartridges refilled at Cartridge World for $14. They cost around $50 brand new. You can't tell the difference.

I am a printer engineer i used to work for cartridge world there are three ways you can go.

    1. you can get cheap compatables they have universal ink and the colours wont be exact.

    2. you can go to cartridge world (as was earlier mentioned) it will be about half price of the originals but you ill get a guaranty , the ink is original matched ink so it will be very close to original.

    3. buy a new printer if you have a lexmark or hp printer it might be more economical to buy a canon printer , the reason lexmark printers are cheap is because the cartridges are so expencive if you was to buy a canon the cartridges are up to a third of he price of lexmarks.

Which brand/model of printer do you have?

But as suggested above, if you have a Lexmark or HP, it would pay you to closet (or toss or gift it to someone you don't like (but have to get a present for anyway) for Christmas ) the one you have and get a Canon. Get a last year's model: iP1500, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 as they use passive tanks whereas the new line that just came out have tanks with active elements in them - no compatible tanks yet and they rat on you if you refill the originals - there are usually a number of them on eBay and the iP4000 is considered the sweet-spot of the line.
. Normally I get the tanks (a set of 4) for my iP3000 for about $20. shipped from http://www.swiftink.com . But thru Nov. 6 they have a 35% discount on Canon and Epson and 20% discount on HP and Brother. Go to http://forums.anandtech.com > the Hot Deals section > SwiftInk Anandtech Specials sticky thread > find coupon codes in the top post. Codes good thru the 6th of Dec.
. It is the best ink I've found for my Canon.

If you looked harder you could get those compatables cheaper than that.

The thing about using epson compatables is the ink is thicker than the original ink , epsons are prone to having the heads block on them anyway putting thicker ink through will only make it more likely to hapen and when you get a blocked head in an epson printer it is cheaper to replace the whole unit than replace the head.
