Last night was pretty much like every other night. I played a bit of MOHAA on gamespy, checked my gmail, turned off my computer and went to bed.

This morning wasn't. My internet isn't working. This time however, I can't pinpoint the problem. The facts are:

-I can see all the other computers on my network.
-My internet cable IS plugged into my computer.
-The computer confirms to me that I do have my 100 mbps connection in the taskbar.

But still no internet. I open my IE 7 browser and I just get the "page cannot be displayed" page. The "Work offline" option in the Tools menu is NOT checked. Every now and then I get a prompt to connect to the internet, at which point I say "Connect"-yet I still can't get a connection. I'm posting this message from my laptop which is right beside my PC-so there's no problem with my ISP or router or internet connection.

What am I missing? I uninstalled IE7 and went back to the prev. version. Nothing. I did a system restore, twice, Nothing.

Anyone have any idea what is up with my PC?

Could be your ISP has taken a dive. If you can verify that your ISP is up and having no problems, shut everything down and restart your cable/DSL modem, then your router (if you have one) and then the computers. That might get you started.

I'll give it a try. Although I don't see why my laptop is running on the same everything...but it has worked before so let's see.

Huh! What do you know! I should probably compile a checklist...I actually usually do unplug and reset my router/ISP....just forgot it this time.

Thanks alot! It doesn't take much to make someone's day!
