Where'd they go!

I recently installed new themes for Xp from a net page, and now when i go to my computer from the start tab,all it shows is my hard drive,my camera. and my printer. What happened to my files? Now when i want to go to my shared files i have to click hard drive /doc-settings/all users/Then shared files...which is annoying! Can i fix this ? i tried Sys restore,back to XP themes, and nothing brings them back?? Plus I have office 2000 and everythime i try to open it, it startes to re-install again.So i have to click cancel over and over and over until it starts access or whatever program i want. And someitmes it does it when i open some things from the net..like myspace comment pages or stuff like that???Weird! And suggestions? And when it did work on my computer...when my GF logged in on hers it would do the same thing,always try to install ,then start anyway to access orwhatever she started

 

Hope this is in the right fourm. To go along with the lost files? When i click on "My Computer" it doesn't show my DVD burner and DVD drive. Hope someone can help me with this!

 

Have you checked Device Manager to see if it shows any problems with CD-ROM devices? It could be possible that both user profiles have been corrupted. Have you tried the administrator account to see if everything works from it?

Nope Didn't help...I don't get it..start/my computer/ and all it shows is the local disk and my printer and camera. But when my GF logs onto her computer part it's all there , her documents,shared files, all the drives and all the removable drives. gotta be a setting somewhere!
