Which 10 To Pick

    I had a drive fail and need to reload Win 10, I have it on a usb drive but not sure which version to pick so it will reauthorize. I can read the drive but it won't boot, is there a file I can look at to see what version was loaded? Thanks Michael

    C:\Windows\System32\License.rtf

    If you can access the registry, it also holds the info @ HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

    For edition values: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ProductOptions

    At the top of the first page you should see which version of Windows 10 is on the drive.
