Which 'App' is there to read books on Ipod Touch 2nd Gen A2188?

    Hi Guys

    My husband has a Ipod touch 2nd Gen A2188. He has heaps of books in his library, is there an App he can download so he is able to read these books?

    The 'iBooks' will not download.

    Sorry to hear that. I don't know of any app for that. I went to Kindle which is available for all devices and links to Amazon so you always have access to your books. I did some searching and came up with nothing. Good luck :(

    Ah thats a shame. If you are unable to find one then I doubt very much I'll beable to.

    Is there any other way round it, is there a way to get the ebooks onto Kindle. I have 'Calibre' software and can change any ebook file format?

    Or can the 2nd Gen iOS be updated?

    These are long shots I know but thought I'd ask.

    Just a thought, can you load and read pdf's on a Ipod touch 2nd Gen A2188?

    Do go back and read the 1st post in which the OP states iBooks will not install, it may not on older iPods! PDFs are not read by iBooks as they are a proprietary format that a PDF reader is needed for.

    Kinda guess as your use name, you maybe touting spam! as your replies are less than accurate to the questions posted.

    Have you tried to update the iPod touch via iTunes to latest version iOS? if not try and see what version it may install, thinking my iPod Touch is a 2nd gen and does have iBooks as an app, don't use it mind nut its installed.
