which board and processor

hi

ive upgraded my system as far as it will go but isent far enoth so ive decided the only thing to do is get a new motherboard and processor

wondering wot sort people would recomend

it needs to fit in the dracula atx case

i dont play online games or download alot of movies but would be nice to have the option

prefer not to have onboard sound or video or be able to disable it .from reading threads on here they dont sound much good.

dont want to spend 2 large an amount but dont want to go cheap ether


ime running an old pentium 2 with something like a 6 year old board so it wont be hard to find something better

I'd get a socket 754 motherboard and a Sempron 3000+ processor, maybe even an AMD 64 3000+ if you have the extra cash.

You will most likely need to buy new memory as well, most boards now support pc3200 but I'd still check.
