Which chip is faster?

I have too old PCs and want to use one of them as a data backup machine attached to my LAN.

I'll scavenge parts (RAM, HDs) from one, to build up the specs of the other, but which one to scavenge and which one to improve? Which one has the fastest processor?

A: AMD k6 550MHZ
or
B: Pentium II 350 MHZ

Anything else I should consider?

Obviously, PC-A is the faster of the two with the 550mhz CPU.
The only thing to really consider for a data storage unit is hard drive size. However, older PCs tend to have limits in the motherboard BIOS and may not recognize large drives. For example: many older Pentium I class PCs don't correctly recognize hard drives over 8.4gb in size; a 40g or 80g drive will come up as 8455mb and the remainder of the drive will be wasted. I've seen many socket 7 motherboards with hard drive limits of 32gb. This can usually be 'fixed' by either updating the BIOS if you can find a BIOS for such old gear, or you can use 3rd party hard drive setup software like EZdrive/EZBIOS. But that's going back about 10 years (or more) and I have no idea what software is available today for such a task since hard drive limits are thing of ancient history.

I do realise the the mhz on face value for PC A was faster, but wondered whether the difference in the make might change the comparison.
