   I have installed Windows Media Player 11 and VLC Media Player.
   
   I do not want to install Real Player OR Apple Quick Time.
   
   Which Codec Pack do I need ?
   
   Also would you recommend K Lite Mega Pack as a good choice ?

   Good choice, or Advanced Codec Pack, both have great success rates. Video drivers being up to date go a long way as well.

   K-Lite Mega is great I have used it for 4-5 years and it uses Media Player Classic (a lot better than WMP) and VLC works like a charm with it, there is also the latest update for it here.
