Which Disk De-frag program?

I would like to de-fragment my hard drive but i'm finding it very difficult to decide which program to use.I run windows xp and would also like to use a freeware program,Some definitive advice on the best one to choose would be great,Thank you for your help.

I used to use Defraggler, which is a good free defragger - http://majorgeeks.com/Defraggler_d5777.html

I say used to as i now use a paid app, called "raxco perfect disk" it has a free trial to test it and is well worth the investment methinks, if paying is at all possible

i like to use auslogics myself as well. its free and seems to defrag rather quickly compared to the windows one. havent tried out defraggler yet. but, im sure you have your option out there. auslogics has some nice options to set for defragging your computer. they also have a decent registry cleaner thats free as well and imho i think works better than ccleaner.

 

Ccleaner is the ONLY reg cleaner i have used [and i've used 100's] that NEVER offers vital entries up for deletion, if you arn't experienced or willing to research every item to make sure it is safe to delete, you should not use anything except Ccleaner to clean the registry.
