Just got a new computer (running Windows 7). Need to create recovery DVD. It doesn't say which type of DVD to use and it doesn't give and it doesn't say what size it needs to be.

Any advice as to what type of DVDs I should get and what size they ought to be.

You would have to start your recovery disc application to see what it wants. Some will not allow you to use re-writable disc's. So get a 5 pack of DVD-r disc's. It may take 3.

It doesn't say, that's why I posted the question.

Then best to use DVD-R disc's. That way you can't overwrite them by mistake. ;)

I thought it might be those. I certainly don't want to overwrite them because the system only allows the creation of a recovery DVD(s) once.

Yes, DVD-R discs would be the ones to use.
