Without knowing the actual CPU models, there is no way to be certain.

It also depends on the tasks at hand.

 

I'd guess Intel P4 Prescott core.

Despite the FSB difference, I'd have to go with a larger L2 for throughput.

 

E6600 3.06 GHz 1066 MHz 2MB LGA775

or

E6600 2.40 GHz 1066 MHz 4MB LGA775

or

E6750 2.66GHz 1333 MHz 4MB LGA775

 

E6750 hands down.

The CPU you have in mind is listed, as well as faster ones with more cores. Price would be your only real constraint, as this board will support quad core CPUs.

The Intel Q9550S would be the best you could do, and it's approved by MSI.
