Make sure that your computer can support these GFX cards... Make sure you have an AGP slot if you buy an AGP card or make sure you have a PCI-Express slot if it is that type. Also make sure you have the correct amount of power for these cards... Some cards require 300W of power... Most computers are built with a 250W power supply... I recommend downloading CPU-Z and tell us what type of nickname your computer is given... And check if your computer has DDR SDRAM... I say this because If you only have a processor that supports SDRAM and you try putting a GFX card with DDR SDRAM in your computer, you are only asking for trouble... But if everything is good... I recommend a Nvidia GeFORCE 6600 GT OC with 128 MB DDR3 SDRAM and 128 bit color... This card performs at the same level as a 6800 GT... Just a little less transfer speed... A 6800 GT transfers at 38 gigs a second and the one I mentioned is only half of that, but performs on the same level, because it is overclocked...

why is that? I used to have SDRAM and never had a problem with any of my video cards(which had DDR RAM) because of system RAM

I vote either 2 or 4 .. personally I'd go with 4 just for the fan

Sorry for the double reply... Not an admin... but anyway... I'll attach a few photos of what kind of ram and computer would be a good computer using CPU-Z to compare with... You see, personally I had problems with my old millewood when I added a DDR ram GFX card... I just don't want someone else to have the same problems I did...
