Which one do you guys prefer, Ive just been searching around and now I have a major headache, I dunno which ones the better, or where to get decent themes for either.. etc

    Argh..

Deviant Art dont support StyleXP I noticed, and themexp.org have that advert... crap in the theme downloads they release.. So yeah...

    My conclusion: WindowsBlindsXP?

Actually, they do. Its under Visual styles. StyleXP just patches the system so that it will run non-M$ certified themes/visual styles. So actually you're using the built in themes service and not any other program.

I agree the ad-ware in themexp.org downloads really sucks.

Geezes, I have been visiting this forum for quite sometime now, under a diffrent username in the past.. so I know most of whats going on...

    Do you?

Their's a major line between a joke and being critical......

Well, who in their right mind would just come out and splash that, not being serious, also I know adry from 3dfiles.com and my old site hardware-pacers.com...

It should need no indication, it was directed at him, obviously he got it was a joke, but you didnt, thus it is your own gripe, and you having power, may feel that it is right for you to order around how one person can joke with another person.. Is their a posting code of ethics that states how joking should be laid out?

Anyway, as for my old username, seeing as it was registered with an old ISP, and that I have changed ISP's and signed up with a new username because I couldnt remember my old one and the medling and fuss was a bit innapropriant (sp)..

Hopefully that itself isnt also a crime on majorgeeks.com forum?

As for games, I like games, but I play the ones I'm good at ;)

I would love to have an intellectual fight with you, but it's against my morals to attack an un-armed person! :D

    the hacked dll indeed.

btw exoxe, you sig is quite annoyingly long, could you perhaps change it so it's not as long? :)

edit: never mind, your sig is gone now.

    Hey Fleppen,

Yeah I hear ya, sig is always ticked when I post and sometimes I forget, which is why most of my posts get edited so I can quickly un-tick the show sig option.. cant find a way to turn it off by default in the cp....

    Edit: Did it again... grrrrr

    3rd vote for hacked/patched uxtheme.dll :)

why have more software installed when one small file can be adjusted to allow 3rd party themes :D

    about the the themexp.org spyware...

if you uncheck the boxes that say you agree to the license agreement for the spyware (NOT the themexp.org agreement, you have to select yes on that to continue), the spyware doesn't install...

I find it slightly funny that nobody else figured that out, when I figured it out on the first package I downloaded...

Not all the packages let you opt out, unless they changed something. I find it slightly funny you didn't know that ;)

Maybe they changed something, but I don't recall them letting you opt out before.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

Uxtheme MultiPatcher (Neowin edition). I got it from Belchfire XP themes community forum site. It automatically installs the uxtheme.dll appropriate for your system, even SP2: http://themes.belchfire.net/index.php?showtopic=8767 There is a link to manually patching it, also on this page, if needed.

All the ones I've downloaded seem to let me opt out...
