Which pop up blocker is best?

    I switched AV programs and now get some pop ups, I guess I may be spoiled a year with Kaspersky was bliss but I am giving MSE a try.

    If you use Firefox or IE (and probably the other browsers), you shouldn't be getting any popups if you have your blocker enabled.

    CNN is still whacking me every time I check the news, I just checked my IE8 and it does not let CNN hit me. Bummer I like FF much better, both have the blocker enabled!

    I downloaded the add-on for Firefox, Adblock Plus. It seems to do the trick most of the time.

    g'day oldphil i use msse with comodo firewall and have never had any popups. with firefox have you installed addblock this may help. also check in firefox tools,options,content tab and check in the block popup exceptions menu to see if cnn has been added in there.

    I'm willing to pay. I have AdMuncher installed on most of my windows computers. In linux, I use AdBlock Plus in FF.
