   I am positive that this has been asked before if so I,m sorry for asking again. I used a file recovery program and it listed many files recovered but when I tried to open them it asked which program will I use. I tried many of them but with no luck. my question is "Is there any program available that will figure out which one to use"? There were pictures and other files in the group. Thanks

   Hi
   
   Could you also tell us what Windows version you are using and what are the recovered files, file type?
   
   I would if you know that a file was a picture then backup one to a new location and on the backup try this, right click and choose Open With, then choose if listed Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or Windows Photo Viewer, then double click the file and does it open?
