Which programs are better?

Hey guys, i had a quick question on what programs do you think i should use for spyware, and which ones do you think i should not have.
Here is what i have:
SpySweeper
HijackThis
Spybot S&D
Spyware Guard
Toolbarcop
Ad-Aware 6.0
And Spyblaster

So out of those 7 programs which do you think are useless compared to other programs. Currently i am downloading Pestpatrol and i am thinking about buying it since the reviews were great. Anyway your feedback would be very helpful.

 

That's a pretty good collection (although I personally don't know anything about Toolbar Cop). Just make sure you keep them all updated to the latest definition files.

When put together the first three a free powerful software to get rid of Spyware, the last two are good for preventing

About Hijack This i have it but is only needed as a last resort for Spyware, since it can tell what is good and what is bad, but you can post the log here majorgeeks. I haven't used SpySweeper or toolbarcop.

Also three good Free versions for an Antivirus are AVG Free Edition, Avast home, and AntiVir. All can be found on Majorgeeks.com Antivirus section on the mainpage.

 

What about PestPatrol it showed a lot of adware/spyware on my machine, but is it worth $40.00?

I have Pest Patrol (and Xoftspy) too, but I also have Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, CWShredder & Spybot S & D. Just to be on the safe side I run Pest Patrol and Xoftspy but nothing is ever detected, thanks to the other free software I listed. So I doubt I will be spending any more money on programs in the future as long as we have the good, solid free protection we now have.

This is pretty much what I use, although I use HijackThis about one a week just to scan for any changes I these have missed. To date, nothing has gotten through all of these.

 

Thanks for the info, but just recently i got bombed with spyware and adaware, and the other free programs still arent getting rid of most of them. When i did a scan on pestpatrol i found tons of adaware. I don't mind spending the money, but i would like a alternative free version if possible.
