which registry cleaner

I use for my daily clean up Cclceaner, but out of curiosity, I tried to compare it with shareware products. Here is a list of the ones with the highest scores in the reviews

Perfect Optimizer

Ultra Optimizer

When I dowloaded their software and after a complete scan, they found form 120 to over 700 issues with my registry.

Does anyone know or use any of the above products? My system is Windows XP, both 32 and 64 bit versions, soon getting Windows 7 64 bit. My default browser is Firefox. I mainly use it for internet, and flight sim games.

Any reply or help will be much appreciated. I just don't want to spend money on the wrong product. Maybe they are not even as good as the reviews say.

I've been using Registry Mechanic since the fall of Rome. Love it and no difficulties what-so-ever.

 

I've been using CCleaner only. It's the safest one around. I've read that some registry cleaners are pretty aggressive and can do more harm than good.

I'd stay away from any registry cleaner other than CCleaner. At least one can make a backup of registry items in case something goes awry.

 

i use ccleaner daily and have never had any issues with it, it is safe. i also use reg seeker once a month but always keep back ups just in case.

 

Another vote for CCleaner. I also have occasionally used Eusing Free Registry Cleaner.

Most cleaners say that they find a LOT of problems, but won't clean them out until you purchase the full program.
CCleaner does it for free.
Who do you think gets my vote?
