Which software to test Mbd for non internet laptop ?

Hi.
Need to find an understandable software to test motherboard functionality etc for a laptop that has no internet connection. many seem to want to access the internet for latest version when you run them, despite apparently downloading the latest !...or dont have any test button to click, they just show data, TuneUp360 was one such prog. I am no IT geek, so need something that tells me visually whats what, not a load of numbers.

The laptop appeared to have a dead HD, no bootable HD found. Get a replacement and it was ok at first then also same problem. Its working again now so whats going on ? Ran one software that went for 6 hrs, still going well at 5.5hrs then looked in on it at 7hrs and no bootable HD message so never knew the result.

Someone suggested RAM and MBd may be cause, eliminate those from causes before returning HD. RAM test utility passed ok but cant find way of testing Mbd.

Tries Sisoft Sandra but after saying no to internet requirements it blue screened !

There are 'stesser' programs that are designed to run the CPU and RAM at intense levels - I would imagine that these apps could tell you if the motherboard is able to withstand the tests.

A couple here at Major Geeks are HeavyLoad and Prime95.
