Which Video card is better???

I'm jus wondering which one of the video card is better
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 128MB Graphics
or
256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X700

it's for a laptop too, i'm trying to choose between 2 laptops that has those video cards in them and wants to knw which is the better Video card.
any help will be appreciated

 

ehhh thats a tough one....the 7600 has 12 pixel pipelines and 128mb with a 128-bit interface while the x700 has 8 pipelines and 256mb with a 128-bit interface as well...just thinking out loud here lol. I really couldnt tell which would do better but i think im gonna have to say the 7600. What games do u plan on playing? The performance may be negligible depending on the game.

 

I'm gonna be playin NFS Carbon and Battlefield 2142 for now, shooting and sports games i guess.

Either way, the 7x series is equivalent to the x18xx series.
The x800 is close to the 68xx series.

So, in the end, the x800 does not support sm 3.0, but the 7x series does (if memory serves me).

The nvidia fanboy in me says, go for the newer technology, I.E. 7600.

But, the analytical side of me says, the x800 series = the 7800 series. Which means the 7600 = the x1600 video cards.

I know this is confusing, it confuses me also.

So, in the end, better graphics detail? 7600.
More speed? x800.

IMHO.....Which is worth, about $3.
