    Hi guys,
Which wireless card are you all endorsing now a days. I have a thinkpad with an internal card. Its too slow so Im in the market for a card.

I used to have an Orinoco gold card. Is that still high on the list of good cards. I have an 802.11b access point. If I go to G will i see an improvement with internet or will the inprovement only be on larger file transfers and the like?

    Thanks Guys.

B is fine for internet usage. I mean it's REALLY slow compaired to a normal wired network but it runs at 3.5-4.5 Mbps. Which is faster then most cable/dsl connections. So basicly upgrading to G won't see an improvement with internet. But you would notice diffrences within the home network.

Well if you buy a G card you might not notice it on your home network especialy if you have a b access point, but all G cards are backwards compatible. The upside to getting a G card is if you travel with the laptop, if there is a G accesspoint you will be able to get files, faster, and internet, where a B card (and I could be wron on this part and I'm sure I will be corrected) can't see the network.
As for the type of card- Linksys has always been good to me, no compatiblity issues, instant conectivity, and its always been so easy to set the stuff up.
