Hi everyone, recently 'Windows Photo Gallery' has been displaying all my pictures with a yellow background where previously had been white. This is the same for Photoshop and a few other apps.

Majority of things are fine but obviously something isn't right.

It sounded like I had the same problem as this thread: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=175092 ... However not really knowing if this was the issue, or knowing what I was doing... I thought it would be my best bet to post a thread to see if anyone can help.

    Many thanks in advance.

Well, I read the thread you linked to and it seems as if it's definitely worth a try. I can't see that at least trying would harm anything. Worst case scenario is that there would be no change and we go to something else. You can also check the monitor's built-in menus and see if a color adjustment. Posting the make and model of the monitor and PC might help us research your problem a bit more thoroughly...

Looking over that thread again, would I need to unistall this?

Just makes me wonder as there is only one thing there.

How do I look at the built-in menus?

Sorry to bump this up, but can someone shed some light on what the problem may be and if I should try uninstalling the above?

Sorry to bump this once more, but this is still an issue and I am completely stuck on what I should be doing to solve the issue... Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi

Yes, do uninstall the Samsung driver for the monitor, I had exactly same issue witht he Samsung driver for Vista, uninstall and a reboot fixes this, then if offered this driver from Windows Update, right click it and choose hide.
