WOW I haven't been here in a while.....
Must be I am learning from you guys
I am working on a Acer Aspire One D257 running windows 7, that will not start-up.
All I get is a white screen, The power light is on.
Ctrl+Alt+Del does work so there is some activity.

I tried to Flash the Bios from http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=3659
Did not work. I don't think the files I get were correct. I needed to flash with a Flash drive holding down the Fn+Esc while turning it on. Nothing happened.
    Any Ideas?
Also I did take it apart and Piggy-Backed the HD to my tower and everything is there ran MalwayreBytes and it was clean also did a CHDSK.
    I also did check connections
    ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!
    THANK YOU!

Your post is fine here; what it means is that so far nobody has seen the post and knew the answer.

You wrote that Ctrl+Alt+Del works; what exactly happens?

Did that start all of a sudden, or after you did something specific to that machine?

Ctrl+Alt+Del makes the computer restart, or at least try to restart back to the white screen.
I am working on this for a friend that had given up, Knowing how determined I am she gave it to me to look at. It doesn't get past the Bios.
I tried to Flash it but the files I get aren't correct for flashing at startup from a flash drive (I don't think).
Any help would be much appreciated.
If you look at the original post you will see where I got the files to flash it with.
If you click the link and click on the "Bios Tab" I tried the bottom 3.

have you tried tapping F8 at boot to see if safe mode's lower resolution will at least get you into the box?

Tried Esc, F1 for bios setup and f8 for safemode. Not working

OK, Do you have a boot disk? Any boot disk? linux/win anything to see if it works and we can eliminate some of the hardware as the cause...

if not grab a linux iso and burn one from http://livecdlist.com/

I'm not clear if you ever see anything but a white screen when you turn the computer on.
Do you get a black screen with white printing telling you what keys to press to enter the BIOS or get a boot menu?

Np Bios screen at all. Like no screen showing Acer Logo the "Press F1 for set up or F8 For Safe mode.
    Just plain White screen

    I found this
    and this
    and this
    and this
Note - I don't thin the screen needs replacing, it seems more like a loosened cable connection so the cable might either need to be replaced or reseated.

I haven't had any success finding dis-assembly instructions for the D257.

The 2nd option would be an easy thing to try first.
