Who will buy a nano

    My sister wants one of those.

    She can still see well enough to look at a stupid small screen though.:rolleyes

    I'm so sick of Apple's marketing of coming out with a revamped look or slight tech change so the masses can spend more money.

    Oh, I love technology. Don't get me wrong. I'd buy the newest and greatest new tech if I could afford it...in a computer...or camera...or something meaningful...as long as it wasn't just some silly new pretty color or the introduction of some stupid small screen onto your tiniest little music player you have.

    I suppose I don't even have a problem with Apple's marketing of such. I just feel sorry for all those that buy into it. There's never much of a difference between the models they release until they actually do come up with new tech (ie. iPod scroll wheel to iPod touch)

    LOL I wouldn't term it fun, but that's probably because my only experience is with ipods and itunes which I have way too many songs that I can't play on anything else without more work than I want to do, so I still have my ipod touch even though there are at the very least comparable other things out there.

    I wouldn't touch one of their computers with a dollar of my money.

    They go above and beyond the term restrictive. I totally agree with you there.

    Gawd, no way man! What is it, a 1"x1" screen? Nah, this is an Apple free zone. My friend asked me to load him up with music on a nano a couple of years ago, which I did, but I then had to disinfect my machine from all the add-ons that came with the core program.:boxing

    Aesthetically looks great, which is what Apple do, and better than the one it replaces, makes for a good small MP3 player and well thats all I can say.

    I'd buy one!! well, i say that i mean i'll badger mum or dad into buying me one for xmas or next birthday ;) but only because round 3 of ipod (nano 2nd gen) vs washing machine did not end so well :-o it did last several years though
    the new one looks good, is big enough to hold the majority of my music, and has a clip so i can take it running with me :) so suits me
    so long as they don't pull the dastardly trick they played with the last nano generation and change the pluggy bit. it'd be great if i could still use the car charger and mains power charger

    Hey thats a fair review of the nano! I have to agree with you on the pulggy thing and well Apple have started to stay a bit uniform with this and it covers older chargers and cables so thats good.

    Yes, my husband has one and I am buying one asap. It is the cutest little thing, weighs nothing and sounds great. I like to listen to audiobooks and it is perfect for that. It charges form the comp or off the mains.

    I'm an "Apple Free Zone" too.

    I agree with DigitalLocksmith. Apple is STUPIDLY proprietary. And, augie is dead on. Their software invites itself like Dracula onto your PC.

    Anything you need, you have to go to them, or a rare third party vendor.

    It's like waiting on a breadline in the old U.S.S.R.!!!

    I don't like how they treat their developers and developers who want to create apps for their items.. so no. I wouldn't.

    The ear buds that come with all Ipods are terrible so anyone considering buying one should price in at least some half decent SONY noise cancelling buds.

    That's all I have to say.:)
