Why cant i backup to disc

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me why i cant backup to discs etc, it only gives me a choice to back up to the c drive which doesnt have enough space.

I am running xp pro.

What are you trying to backup?

 

Assuming it's Micro$$oft Backup,

You can create a folder on the CD, and backup to it, but as Halo said, Micro$$oft Backup can't do so directly.

It states that it can backup to CD, but that's misleading.

 

I tried downloading the program but when i try to open it it says 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\mscorwks.dll could not be loaded'

 

Do you have Net Framework installed?

If not, get it HERE.

Yes you need it if you want to install some programs.

It's an "environment" that some, and increasingly more, programs require.

If you didn't need it now, you more than likely would have sooner or later.

 

On pondering that error message, you probably already have it installed.

And more than likely via Windows Update.

Check and see if you do, you already know the path.

 

I installed it from the path you gave me earlier. i dont know if i already had it installed. does that mean i might have it twice?

Maybe thats why it doesnt seem to work properly. The help button doesnt work it says 'unhandled error....'

I try to back up the c drive to my dvd drive and it prompts me to insert a disc but when i do that it doesnt do anything else???
