I finally gave up and set my computer back to factory settings. It is a Dell Studio 17; with a C drive, Datapart D drive, and E drive (Recovery).........I did a backup before I went to factory settings, it went to D drive, datapart. Then I did the factory revert. Now, it wont let me restore from the D drive....it says there is 128 GB stored on it, showing all the junk is there, but it does not appear as an option when I try to restore, it only pulls up the E drive. Any help? Suggestions? TIA

What tool are you using to revert/restore back to factory settings? I don't think I've heard of a computer coming with an OS partition and a data partition from the manufacturer. There a good chance that "Factory Defaults" only applies to the OS partition. Was the data partition empty when you received it?
