I just finished seeing smallville and pa kent dies. Damn. First it was spiderman's uncle and now pa kent. At least in Batman the chick dies but no, they gotta kill the dad too cause the mom's gotta be more important. For goodness sakes kill off a mother and let a father live already. Pa kent was cool. ma kent is still to hot to die. let them both live. Kill a chick already superhero writers. The guys always get hit by bullets or natural causes. So which would u guys kill if u had the option when making a superhero movie.

No u can't kill the villian cause then there's no reason for the superhero. Also, they usually die at the end anyway. I love the villian.

I think in the original story, Pa Kent was still alive after Superman started flying around in the figure skating costume, so I think they'll "bring him back" and erase memories or reverse time, or something.

Actually supermans parents died when the planet they orginated from was destroyed. There was only room in the ship/pod to save superman. So when he came of superhero age and traveled to the polar cap and used the crystals. However he only knows of his true origin when he got side tracked by lois lane and then his parents explained giving up his virginity when he wanted to marry the mortal would mean giving up his powers his lusty desire for lois blinded him (more than once). But back to the original question the dads always die so the super hero sons find a deeper inner strength unlike us mortals who grieve and experience the true spectrum of our own mortality before we can move on.
