Why do I have to log into my computer 2x?

    EVERY time I log into my profile on my computer after I've been away from it longer than an hour or so it makes me log in two times. I log in the first time and it opens up. I see my desktop for about three seconds and then it kicks me back to the blue, choose a profile/log in screen for me to log in a second time. I do it again and it lets me into my profile. Any ideas??? Thanks!

    Sorry, my operating system is a Windows XP.

    Check your screen-saver settings (right click the desktop, go to Properties, then the Screen Saver tab. Make sure the box next to On resume, password protect isn't checked. Reboot.

    If it was checked maybe that will remove one layer. Just a thought.
