I just bought a Netgear Super-G Wireless PCI Adapter and it was working fine until I turned off my computer. Now when I start up my desktop, it says it's connected to my network, but the status says something is wrong. Why is this? It was working fine a minute ago! I went ahead and reinstalled it and that didn't help.

I didn't touch any of the router settings (heck I don't even know how to). My dad has a laptop that also uses the net through our wireless and he doesn't have problems, and I can connect to our wireless through my DS Lite, so I'm baffled and a little annoyed.

It's always just my desktop, too. I just returned my wireless usb adapter from linksys because it was working fine for two weeks, then all of the sudden it just decided that it wasn't going to work anymore. I really hope someone can help me out because I don't want to have to go back to BestBuy every week :p

You have to choose to use the Netgear software or Windows to manage your wireless connection and disable the other. When you install from the Netgear CD you get the Netgear manager. If you don't follow Netgear's instructions exactly you will be in a halfway house situation.

    start>run>typein
    services.msc

    What is the status of

    DNS client
    Network connections
    Wireless zero configuration

They should all be set to started and automatic.
