why i cant get some web sites?

Well i can go to a site but if i try to acess say sometime like a game or a video for example it does nothing. hope this make sense please help me ty. have a good day.

Since you were referring to game you play online using your browser, it could be missing or damaged java or flash plug-in that might be needed to play the games.

If you don't have SUN's Java installed get it here.

If you don't have Shockwave Player from Macromedia, you could get it here.

If you don't have Flash Player from Macromedia, you could get it here.

Also if you have a toolbar type IE plug-in or standalone security software that might be filtering/blocking the web contents, it could be causing the issue.
These are only guesses, need more info.

 

i tried to download flash player i cant even get that i can get to this site but if i try to acess something else it does nothing hope this helps.

Please, eloborate on this a bit more, what happens when you click on the links?
~ Does the download site open up? If yes,
~ Do yoou see the INSTALL button? If yes,
~ What happens when you click on it?

PS. Is this your personal computer or a computer in a Public/Work place?

 

yes this is my home computer. well okey i log on to sites that works sometimes it wont open other links from the site.i try to download javi plug inn it wont even take me there.i hope this explains more im trying lol iam a geek at computers sorry.

 

OK, lets try to register some DLL files to see if it helps:

Follow these steps (I believe you had Windows98?) if in doubt or you are using XP that I would have to modify a few lines so let me know either way:

4) Click on FILE then SAVE AS and save this file directly on to the C Drive with a simple name such as TEST, so the path would be: C:\test.txt
5) Locate the file on the C drive and change its extension from .txt to .bat and click on YES to confirm the change.
6) Final step click on START then RUN and type command then press OK
7) Comman Prompt window will open up, type this exatly then press ENTER:
C:\test.bat
8) The batch file should run really quick and once finish the lines would stop scrolling at that point type exit and hit ENTER to close the window.

Now check to see if the IE problem still exist and let me know.
