Why I hate internet explorer

For a couple of weeks now I have been using Mozilla, which i like but it still irks me that i cant use internet explorer...Why? After reformating to clean up (I have 1 hardrive soley for running windows) Internet explorer refuses to open more than one window at a time. If you clicj on a link to open in new window it will open it in the same one, if a pop up ad pops up it converts the window into the ad (hence only one at a time) This doesnt sound like spyware to me, spyware would want to open all kinds of windows...I updated service pack,removed spyware (spyhunter and spybot) scanned for viruses... messed with internet settings..still no result...its extremely frustrating...anyone...any idea's ???

 

It sounds like some application has reconfigured it to open only one window at a time, which is quite interesting. I don't have any suggestions short of a format/reinstall.

reformatting should have done it unless the same thing happened over again. I don't know why the problem is presisting, unless some program that you installed is doing it.
