Interesting! I'll be very curious to hear which way your work site eventually goes. There are a lot of exceptional Linux distros out there (CentOS or Red Hat Enterprise Linux might be a good corporate choice). Mac computers would be great if your company has a lot of graphic intensive work I maintain one Windows 10 Pro laptop at home, 5 Linux work stations (Slackware), and two iPads.

yup... lol... being a fly on the wall, during the meeting, where it was agreed, that adopting that kind of malware behavior was, indeed, a good idea... would have been quite interesting. [ with apologizes to any grammar gurus ] i wonder if they had any lawyers present...
i know my company will never upgrade to windows10. my boss is actually a mac person and would love to get macs for everyone in the company, but ( long long story ) our netware server kind of precludes that, and our need to have either office97 or office2000 to pull info from the NLM loading MRP database and software ( bought in the year 1999 ) means we do lots of workarounds lol... fortunately, there's a total of 6 people in the company now, so it's manageable.

I would really look into Linux over Mac, Apple software is very patchy on updates, always has been a crapshoot, while corps dont rally mind on price of software, apple software has a premium price just for giggles.

We are moving to Windows 10 as not seen many issues in testing so far, but it will be mid to end 2017 that the change will be as we move to a new building then so worth a new start at that point, the free upgrade nag screen was a footshot for MSFT but nothing to stop you migrating to W10 as its a good OS, in same leagues IMHO as XP, Win7

Our office OS has little effect on most of us. The office uses Windows for email and accounting. Our lone drawing person uses a Mac "for its stability" which it seems to have.
We code and support crane coordination (two or more cranes lifting the same load with one operator, crane position, crane load and crane interference protection). Most of our time is in QNX or Linux or proprietary software, depending on the customer's system. I am a field engineer repairing and updating old equipment so very little impact on me.

Don't over look Android, a google implemented linux that seems to be the majority OS when it comes to smart phones.

I have two tablets a 7" and a 10.1" and both update without much input from me and don't cause lockups or error messages.

My newer tablet, Samsung, even includes Word Excel and PowerPoint for those who might need to view and collaborate with others.

I have a portfolio for the tablet that rotates and a bluetooth keyboard so working on it is very similar to using my 11" netbook. I really don't miss the mouse and the tablet has a microsd slot for my data.

I went back to windows 7.It is completely stable.

I have zero issues with it.The reason i went back is all the bad info i read about windows 10 and have had enough of the BS that Microsoft was trying to pull over peoples eyes. There is no reason to upgrade. My Current OS works fine no issues at all.

I would not recommend apple mainly due to the fact is they cost far to much.

Indeed! I really like Apple hardware; I like how they've combined a battle-hardened Unix derivative with a pleasing UI. I become disheartened every time I look at the price tag of a Mac.

In all honesty i still prefer any older windows over mac or linux.Any thing past windows 8 will suck be cause of the security issues.I read one persons post in that forum about windows 10.My wish people would realize on how badly windows 1o design really was.The one post said oh this windows has better security.Wrong if any thing Windows 10 is the worst security around.

The main problem i have is that windows 10 is that it's not good on customization.I can hardly play any of my games that i do play on pc.

Windows 10 anniversary update made it even worse to customize. And when Microsoft started to force windows 10 on to people and trick them into installing it.That is when i was like no enough.

Windows 10 is not the last windows i bet you.Be cause they will need to make money again after so long. When they forced windows 10 on to people for free they messed up.They lost a lot of money from that mess up.

Dont look at the price of the Surface Studio then..... reading alot about them they look great, tools for designers etc but the design aesthetic of it matches Apple IMHO or supersedes anything Apple has out, watch the video, but starting at $2000+ then getting to $4000+ not cheap.

Absolutely. Each to his/her own. A computer is a tool to get work done. Use the hardware/OS that best meets your needs. :)
