why same computers have different performance output

Help me plz.
I built up lit 6 computers for someone. Quad core P5Q asus motherboard Kingston 4 G memory, windows xp pro.
They are using some forex application on all of them to do some type of computations.
They told me 3 computers are ok. But the rest 3 Took more time to give them output although all of them have same hardware same application.
They never used these computers on internet.
Could someone plz let me know what could b the problem and what would b the solution.
Is there any software which could check the performance of the computer and hardware.

They are using the same forex application and also they are giving same input to the application on all of the computers. So I don't know what to look for. thanks for help

 

I was thinking the same thing like, may b some processes are talking cpu processing. I did reinstall fresh windows and then they load the same app with input but it didn't bring any difference.

 

How are the computers being used?
That is to say are they all set-up comlpetely independant from each other and being operated manually one by one?
Is it the same person/people using the three that do and the three that dont?

As maybe some thing is being done differently, are the machines in the same room? cos if they were in another room and the temperature is much higher or lower then performance might vary, all in all if they have had exactly the same parts installed in exactly the same way with exactly the same software installed and being operated in the same room the differences should be negligible.

I assume your getting all your feed back over the phone or via email?
The best thing if it is at all possible would be for you to be at teh 'puters yourself determining everything is as it should be and somone hasn't changed or installed something on them, because, believe it or not some pepole dont always admit that they have done things even when you are trying to help them

I honestly wouldnt be to suprised if you found itunes or something has been installed, or sombody might have took it onto the net, and not being set-up for that, they probably have little or no security on them.. in which case ther is probably a few lil nasties looping over and over trying to phone home or similar.

afterthought: is ther any difference in the peripherals connected to the 'puters?

 

In addition to this, are you forced to rely on reports from the users, or are you comparing by actually running benchmarks?

 

Each compuer has four vm ware "server consol" session. and Each vm is running a meta trade application for back test. Vm's are running on optimized settings. No additional app is running.

processes are seeming normal in tast manager.

Any clue why vm sessions are working on different performance.

 

Check Event Viewer on the bad one.
