    Hi Everyone,

I am having a few issues with my internet, and my Wireless network in particular, and I have been desperately trying to find some software that is able to monitor and show me in a GUI the traffic on my Wi-Fi, who is connected to my Home group via the Wi-Fi, also who is connecting to my ADSL2+ broadband via my Wi-Fi ADSL2+ Modem/Router, and who is sitting their that can see my Wi-Fi network and is continuously trying to crack my password to gain access. But so far I cannot find anything that can do any of that, so I am coming to you guys as my very last hope, as you guys are very well known amongst the PC community as the very best problem solvers!

Do you guys know if such software even exists, if it does, if you could point me in the right direction to download a demo or freeware version, I would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have 3 Laptops in the house, all running Windows 8 Professional with latest updates, my Acer Aspire V3-771G is the main machine with the Home Group setup and created on this machine, I have an ADSL2+ connection via my phone line, with a D-Link DSL-2730B modem, with its Wi-Fi feature setup and turned on, so we connected directly into that for our internet connection, with no physical hard wired connections at all. When the 2 other machines connect to the ADSL Modems Wi-Fi, that connection also seems to connect them to the home group as well. I have not been able to test my Wi-Fi speed at all, so I am unsure how fast it can or does go, all I do know is it handles my full ADSL2+ speed of around 800 KB/Sec on average without any hesitation.

    Cheers.

    Davo

I use Softperfect's Wifi-Guard for checking internal Wifi connections, it works across a wired connection too as it uses your router to get the details. It pops up a subtle box, even if you're fullscreen gaming, when an unknown device connects.

You can try something like inSSIDer or Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector to scan the perimeter.

You might do well to upgrade to a wirless router/firewall that shows what is going on.
