I have 2 PCs running XP home, machine 1 has a wireless linksys adsl modem/router attached to it, machine 2 has a linksys wireless network card attached.
I can access the internet on machine 1 & 2 but I'm stumped when it comes to sharing files.
When I try to add a new network place I only see machine 1 on the list.

I want to be able to share files on both machines. :D

Give your machines internal IPs. They should be something like 192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.102. Make sure they are in the same workgroup. Next, find the folders you would like share, right click them and select Sharing and Security. Check the box that says share this file on the network. These folders should now appear in My Network Places.
