Can anyone comment on their experiences with widescreen lcd monitors?
I am looking at a 20.1" Dell and a 24" Samsung and am wondering how web pages look on a wider screen. Also, if you use the page by page feature, can you have a web page on one page (1/2 of the screen)? Won't it be hard to view the whole width of the web page like this? All ideas on this are helpful, thanks.

I have the 20" Dell widescreen, and I love it. As far as web browsing, I don't think it really makes a difference. Many web pages are not made so that they can stretch. They use the same width regardless of screen size. However, some sites (like Majorgeeks and Newegg) will stretch to the full length of the screen.

As for the side by side, I don't really find it all that useful. I assume you are talking about where you can put your computer screen alongside a different input, like TV. The computer screen gets pretty small. Personally, I wouldn't base my decision on it. But that's just my opinion.

MG-Tall is an image of Majorgeeks' webpage when the monitor is turned 90 degrees.

MG-Wide is an image of MG normally on a widescreen monitor.

YBaseball is an example of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball which does not stretch the webpage to use the whole space.

LOL, I just realized that you asked me this in a whole other thread. Sorry about not responding. I just got back from on the road where I don't always stay updated on my posts.
