Widescreen monitors?

Anyone have thoughts on a really good one? I am running duals now, but frankly most games dont support, nor look good split in half, so I am considering replacing these with a single widescreen. I have 2 I am looking at from Dell and Viewsonic, but it might be a good idea to wait a few months as prices drop and technology improves. With Dell releasing large, cheap widescreens and the promise of faster response times, it might be worth waiting a few months. I do play games (fps, mmorpg mainly) do watch occasional short video clips and any ghosting or tearing in DVD's is irrelevant as I simply never watch DVD's on my machine.

Your overall thoughts, links to monitors (existing or upcoming information) you like, etc., would be appreciated.

 

Im running dual 19" LCD's from Viewsonic now, had an older 21" CRT that after 4 or 5 years of use still does daily duty on a friends machine.

I got it coming, overnight shipping, so a couple days hopefully. A friend bought the 21 (before the 24 was released) and months later he simply loves it.
