    Hi all,
Over the years, this web site has bailed me out more times than I can count, so for once I wanted to write something that might help others....

I just bought a Toshiba E205 1904S laptop with Wireless Display (WiDi). Best Buy had a bundle on sale for about 900 bucks for the laptop, netgear push2tv adaptor, 500gb external hard drive, and kaspersky anti virus software.

This WiDi is amazing....I have it streaming wirelessly to my 52 inch Samsung LCD and the image and sound are fantastic.

I believe this is first generation WiDi technology, so I was a bit reluctant to buy it...but it definitely exceeds my expectations.

Only drawback thus far, and probably be corrected in later versions....you cannot use your laptop for anything else while you are streaming...meaning what you see on your laptop screen is what get's beamed up to the big screen TV. Not a big deal to me.

Hope this helps someone thinking about making a WiDi purchase.

Hmm, ive been hearing some good things about this new tech, have you experienced any lag? Does the sound ever drop for a few seconds?

I have only used the WiDi function for about 2 hours total...watched a concert and a sitcom streaming from hulu, and a few you tube videos....so far the system has worked brilliantly....no lag, no dropoffs....outstanding video quality, especially from hulu and the sound is great too...perfect synch with the image...

i haven't tried running the stream through my home theater amplifier/system yet...the user's manual that came with the Push2TV adapter does not mention that as an option, it instructs one to simply connect the adaptor to an HDMI port on the TV, so I'm not sure what will happen when I get around to testing it through the Home Theater system..

all in all, excellent quality for a reasonable price...our family is now trying to find different sites to download movies, concerts, etc....as this will likely replace our trips to Blockbuster and also stop us from paying Comcast the 4.99 charge for each On Demand movie!

    good luck!!
