Somehow, when watching a movie in VLC i pressed something, that made my computer only use that wierd Echo sound, like EAX or something..

Did i change a setting somewhere? I tried looking around in Sound settings etc, could not find anything that would fix it..

Its kinda annoying when watching a movie or playing games, when you hear that echo..

    Anyone can help me out?

Damn, had this problem, dont recall the solution. I would, though, make sure your using digital output only, its in your options and you plug your sound into the end slot, usually black.

If you have a SB card (tou didnt say) use the EAX console found in your Soundblaster folder /start menu and uncheck "use effects".

When i put digital output on, it killed my sound..

I got a Sound blaster Audigy 5.1 sourround, and a 5.1 surround headset, everything worked great until i pressed something in VLC player ^^.

And i dont have that nifty creative controle panel no..

Go to Control panel, go to Audio HQ, Go to EAX control panel. Click on all effects off. Hope this helps. Good luck Chuck

Look in control panel, You should have you audio in there (not sound and audio devices) open it and look for sound effects. I have sound Blaster and I have Audio HQ. Ithough you might have also, My wifes has Sound Max and setting are in there .You need to set No effects Trying Chuck
