Okay... Where to start... I have a computer that has the internet, but it is really slow... I have used many programs that have midly boosted the speed to about 78k (the speed of a dial-up), but not to where it should be at around 1.5 Mb/s. Now I thought it was my hardware... i.e... my ethernet card. Then one day I put another hard drive (40gig) into my computer and took the other one out (also 40gig) to install WinXP Pro on it. When it was all finished installing, I did a test at Toast.net and this time the internet was at 2.6 Mb/s. What is going on... Could it really be the new hard drive is just better that the other one... Or did a fresh new start for the computer help? Any opinions?

    Not Wierd,
Good thread title would have been:
Clean OS install fixes Computer woooo's.

I suspect all those boost programs or ethernet drivers was causing problems,
and or your previous windows install was an earlier version, and older drivers, issues.

But anyway, glad ya have some speed now
