Wierd Mouse problem.

This only happens when I'm FPS gaming but suddenly the mouse will make the gun spin around the screen for like 1 sec and then I can get it under control. now this wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't getting me killed during MP games. now this happens with all FPS's and only when I'm gaming. it's an opitcal mouse but I have a special pad for it.

 

I had this exact problem. I thought it was my optical mouse but infact it was my USB keyboard. I had just bought a new keyboard and this started happening only while playing games. HL2 was the game i first noticed it on.

after exhausting all ideas i decided to try my old keyboard and games worked normal. My old key board is non-usb. Been working fine ever since.


also since my problem might be completely different from yours, have you tried without your "special" mouse pad?

 

ya I tried without the mouse pad and a few different pads same thing.

damn I only have 1 keyboard for my game comp.

I hope thats not the problem. see I don't have anyway to test it cause I never know when it's going to happen. it could go days with nothing then boom crazy and I'm falling of a bridge cause the damn thing spun me around.

 

you could always get a usb to ps/2 adapter that way you can use your new keyboard while playing and switch back if you want later, i noticed that usb keyboards are much faster at typing then ps/2 ones but that's just me.

 

nope no GPS. I'll try that USB to PS/2 thing se if that works

did you try a different mouse? what kinda mouse do you have and did you install the mouse drivers?
