I have some exp, so after opening task manager there was nothing obvious other than the wifi software.
Noticed a large file, 40mb, that wasn't using the processor (mbam.exe). Stopped it and the problem stopped.
Is this something I don't want, and if so how do I remove it for good?

PS is Arbry still around (hope I didn't butcher her name it been several years), just wanted to give a shout out of appreciation for helping me before.

It's a file that belongs to Malware Bytes. ;)

I should have known better, as I was running MB to diagnose. Why would the wifi card be trans several hundred pack a min for no reason? It has stopped, but I would like to know what was being done to warrant such data transfer.
Thank You for the quick response.

I don't know about your wi-fi, you could ask about it in the networking forum perhaps. :)
