wikipedia

    Hi All
    I am having problems with wikipedia, as every time I do a search, it seems to come up on the screen. Is this some sort of ad on with the avg search engine ?, as I can not find it in programes and features, also using firefox, thanks for any help.

    I've never used (or even heard of) the AVG search engine, but it does sound as if this could be responsible. Try using a different search engine and see if the behaviour changes.

    Hi Earthling,
    Wikipedia is still comming up, seems to be a ad on or extension for the avg secure search. Is there a way to uninstall it ?, cheers

    I do no longer use AVG so I'm not able to test.
